Happy Saturday. If you live in Arizona, you know all about “winter grass”.
Arizona is the hottest part of hell, so we have special grass that can survive the summer heat, but with a downside: it dies every winter.
That means Arizonans have a choice:
- Option 1: Enjoy green grass in the summer, and have a brown, dead lawn all winter.
- Option 2: Plant winter grass (also called overseeding).
If you want green grass in the winter, you have to shave your summer lawn then plant special ryegrass when the weather finally gets cooler. We’re finally getting cooler here in AZ, so I just planted my winter grass….and then noticed a fucking broken sprinkler….which I now have to dig up and fix. Nice little Saturday project.

As I was just about to start digging, a friend asked me why I sent threatening emails to some guy named Tag in 2024.
My response: who the fuck is Tag? I have no idea what you’re talking about.
After hearing this, I had to stop shoveling dirt and start listening to a 44 minute YouTube video posted yesterday by a person with a pretty voice but an ugly soul.
In this video, the creator read a bunch of emails from some person named “Tag”. Tag claimed I threatened him and his “partner” in 2024, regarding a certain paternity case. Ugh, here we go again….the bullshit monsoon rains down again.
This sprinkler isn’t going to fix itself, and my new grass isn’t going to grow without water, so I’ll keep this short. Here are the facts:
- I have absolutely no clue who “Tag” is. Never heard of such a person.
- I never sent any threatening letters, emails, or any form of correspondence to “Tag” or whoever his partner may be. That aspect of the story was 100% false.
- If someone has copies of these alleged threats, I’d be happy to see them and verify they are fake.
- The client at issue never told me anything about “Tag”.
- The first time I heard anything about this was today, when a friend brought the video to my attention. Thanks, Friend….
- I didn’t watch the full 44 minute video, because fuck that – I’m not supporting evil with AdSense money.
- The friend who told me about it did watch the full video, and I asked ChatGPT to summarize the transcript.
- I also did pause the video and read some of the emails shown in it including each time I was mentioned (per the transcript).
- For the record –
- I am not Tag.
- I don’t know who Tag is, or if this is a real person.
- I have no clue who sent those emails (assuming they are not fakes, created by JFC members themselves to get new content to make a new video).
- Assuming the emails are actually real (which I have no knowledge of), everything I saw in them was false insofar as it described contact with me. I never had any of the discussions/communications this person described. All of that was entirely made-up and fake in every way.
- My late wife Jane is not Tag, she had nothing to do with any aspect of these emails (since they appear to be fake).
One final thing — even though LO v. CE is over, and has been over for a long time, I STILL get emails on a regular basis from people like this.
This message was sent back in April, but I responded and have exchanged other messages with this person….including yesterday. And this person is just one of many. MANY.

At the end of the day, ANYONE can create a Protonmail account and send messages claiming to be anyone. Want to receive an email from someone using the name Gregg Woodnick talking about his sexy romp with a certain judge? It would take 2 seconds to send you that email….but that wouldn’t make it real.
Again, for the record – I have never done such a thing. As a lawyer, I think this would probably be unethical no matter what you said or what purpose you sent it for, and frankly, it’s unethical even if you’re not a lawyer.
I’m not afraid to talk shit, and when I do, I use my real name, even though I don’t have to.
Many people don’t know this, but the First Amendment protects the right to not only free speech, but also the right to speak anonymously. See, e.g.: https://firstamendment.mtsu.edu/article/anonymous-speech/
If you want to create an email account using a fake name, that’s 100% legal. Same thing with any social media. You can use a screen name, or no name at all….and that’s 100% OKAY.
One notable point — you have the right to speak anonymously, but you remain liable for anything unlawful you say or do. It’s still generally illegal to create accounts using the name of another real person (looking at you, Florida cesspool denizen 👀).
FML — no matter how short I want to keep these posts, I just ramble like a….like a guy who needs to get back to fixing that broken sprinkler.
Stay wet and grassy….
