On Oct. 24, Scottsdale police responded to a medical call that included a shot fired at 409 N. Scottsdale Road, Room 215.
A man and woman who were watching the Diamondbacks game suddenly began to cheer, startling the woman’s pitbull, according to a police report.
The dog attacked the two of them until the woman gave the man a gun and told him to shoot the dog, according to the report.
The man fired a single round into the dog’s back, killing it, according to the report.
A search of the room produced no handgun or casing, the report said.
Police located the bullet, which was lodged into the floor, and recovered it, according to the report
The dog was taken to a veterinarian’s office for a necropsy, the report said.
